In partnership with Italy, the United Kingdom will host the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26) in Glasgow from 1-12 November 2021.

COP26 will be an opportunity for the parties to come together to accelerate action to achieve the goals set out in the Paris Accord and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. During its Presidency, the United Kingdom aims to demonstrate the urgency of moving to a zero-carbon economy, the many opportunities it presents, and the potential for international cooperation to tackle the world's biggest challenges.

As we prepare for this landmark event, the United Kingdom is committed to working with all countries and to making common cause with civil society, the private sector and all those on the front lines of climate change to reinvigorate climate action.

Throughout its Presidency, the United Kingdom will champion inclusiveness and use its position to give those whose views are often overlooked an opportunity to have their voices heard and to be heard more effectively, with attention to their needs and priorities, before and during the COP.
