CAMEROON/ Promoting the economic potential of the Western region: Conquering the land of opportunity

From December 11 to 17, Bafoussam will host the first edition of the Rencontres d'échanges, de découvertes et d'exhibition de la région de l'Ouest (REDEO). "For one week, the elite, the diaspora, development partners and investors will exchange ideas on the opportunities to be seized in the region, and celebrate the richness of this land".
The Conseil Régional de l'Ouest, which is organizing the event, has made it clear that it wants to take advantage of the opportunity to showcase and promote the economic, cultural and tourist potential of the Western region.
According to the event's organizers, this activity "reflects the region's commitment to playing its full part in implementing the Head of State's vision of decentralizing local development. It aims to identify and analyze the prospects and contributions of decentralized local authorities in the implementation of the National Development Strategy (SND) 2020-2030".
Under the patronage of Mr. Marcel NIAT NJIFENJI, President of the French Senate, REDEO aims to showcase and promote the region's economic, cultural and tourism potential. REDEO 2023 will take place from December 11 to 17, 2023 in the city of Bafoussam. A biennial event, it will focus on 03 major themes:
- The West - Development Dialogue
- A Business Talk Cooperation
- A Western Heritage Village
Over the course of a week, the elite, the diaspora, development partners and investors will discuss the opportunities to be seized in the region, and celebrate the richness of this land.
