Within the framework of the Generation Equality Forum, jointly chaired by France and Mexico, which will take place in Paris from 30 June to 2 July 2021, the participation of French local authorities committed to gender equality at the international level is strongly encouraged.

Local authorities who wish to do so can have their local events labelled and thus benefit from the communication of the "Generation Equality Forum". These events must be consistent with the Forum's values of openness, inclusiveness and commitment. They can take place up to and including 27 June.

The themes to be addressed should be selected from the following list (several are possible):

- Gender-based violence

- Economic justice and economic rights

- Right to self-determination, sexual and reproductive rights and health

- Feminist action for climate justice

- Feminist movements and leadership

- Technologies and innovations for gender equality

- Education

- Culture

- Sports

- Youth

- Peace and security

The application form, including all the modalities and additional information, can be found in the attachment to this press release and on the France Diplomatie website. Applications will be studied on an ongoing basis and a reply will be sent to you within 10 days of receipt.
