Côte d'Ivoire: Higher Education, an innovation day on AI technology scheduled for March 13 in Abidjan

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is disrupting our lives and impacting our societies. Numerous economic opportunities are being created, opening up new perspectives for employment and improving the global standard of living. Americans have long been leaders in the IT, new technologies and AI market, but they are now being challenged by many Chinese players.

Faced with the size of the AI market, it is essential to ask the following questions: how is Africa, and particularly Côte d'Ivoire, preparing itself to face this other revolution and the various social issues of AI?

It is in order to reflect on these questions and to bring tracks of solutions in terms of training and outlets that a day will be held in Abidjan on March 13, 2020. This innovation day which will bring together experts in computer science, statistics and mathematics and students is organized by the ASP School Group and will have as its theme: "economic, cultural and educational challenges of Artificial Intelligence in Black Africa".

AI being a technology that will profoundly transform our ways of life and work, according to the initiators of the conference, it is important to take into consideration the African paradigm of science and technology in our training to best prepare for these changes. For, the Chinese, by adopting new technologies very quickly and subjecting them to local cultural norms that differ from Western norms, have created very large quantities of data that are accessible on a continuous basis thanks to sources that are multiplying day by day. This places China as a major challenger to the United States.

This is why, to enable Côte d'Ivoire not to miss this turn of development, the ASP SCHOOL GROUP has decided to to offer training in data-sciences for students and the world of work in a perspective of developing solutions adapted to Africa.

This event, which will take place within the ASP School Group based in Cocody-Angré, aims, in fine, to increase awareness of the innovative training courses of this prestigious school, their specificities as well as the opportunities related to these innovative training courses.
