France/Invitation to the online seminar "Declaring official development assistance for your community

French local authorities and their groupings are legally obliged to declare the amount and characteristics of their international development cooperation activities, in accordance with Article L.1115-6 of the General Code of Local Authorities. The results of this declaration are communicated annually to the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Recovery and to the OECD to highlight the contribution of local authorities to France's development support efforts.

The Délégation pour l'action extérieure des collectivités territoriales (DAECT) is responsible for supervising the collection of this data, which is done via an online declaration accessible on www.cncd.fr between 15 April and 31 May of each year. A DAECT press release will be sent to you shortly to inform you of the opening date.

In order to assist local authorities in this process, the National Centre for the Territorial Civil Service (CNFPT), in partnership with the DAECT and ARRICOD (association of professionals in the international activity of local authorities), is organising an online seminar Tuesday 13 April from 11am to 12.30pm.

With the participation of Christine MORO, Ambassador Delegate for the external action of local authorities and Charlotte RIEUF, Vice-President of ARRICOD, this seminar will be an opportunity to :

- Understand what ODA is and its typology,

- Understand the stakes of the declaration of the ODA of its community,

- To be able to manage the remote declaration of the ODA of its community,

- To draw useful and supportive elements from your reactions and questions which will be opened and discussed, and to collect possible suggestions for improvement.
