France/ 3rd Franco-British Local Government Forum - Leeds December 12 and 13, 2024
After London in 2019 and Nancy in 2022, the 3rd Franco-British Local Government Forum will be held in the UK on December 12 and 13, 2024, at the invitation of the cities of Leeds and Bradford.
The event is organized in conjunction with the Local Government Association of the United Kingdom. AFCCRE is coordinating the event on the French side, in partnership with the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE).
The aim of the Franco-British Forum is to continue the dialogue and highlight the exchanges between local authorities, illustrated by over 1,000 Franco-British twinnings and partnerships.
The Forum is open to mayors, local councillors, executive members and staff from all local authorities: communes, intercommunalités, métropoles, départements or régions.
Culture and local development, resilience and inclusion, exchanges and cooperation, and solidarity with Ukraine are on the agenda.
This year, the Forum will take place as part of the celebrations to mark the 120th anniversary of the Entente Cordiale.
