France/Locmiquélic. A partnership with Riantec to offer sports activities for teenagers

A partnership is being tested with the Riantec youth center and the Locmiquélic town hall to offer free sports activities for teenagers every Saturday during the school year.

The commune of Locmiquélic(Morbihan) doesn't have a leisure center for teenagers, middle-school and high-school students aged 12 to 17, but only for the youngest with the intercommunal childhood and youth center.

A partnership is therefore being tested with the Riantec youth center and the Locmiquélic town hall. The aim is to offer a year-round activity and venue for young people in Locmiquélic, and to draw on the expertise of the Riantec youth center.the Riantec youth center," explain Enora Nicol, deputy director of the Riantec youth center, and Yvic Tréhin, director of the Gâvres, Locmiquélic and Port-Louis intercommunal youth service.

At the Locmiquélic City Stadium

Activities will be supervised by Éliott Dréan, activity leader in Riantec, who will leave Riantec at 2 p.m. (flexible according to weather conditions) with the department's vehicle and equipment for various activities. Heading for the City stade in Locmiquélic. There, depending on the youngsters' requests, he'll offer a range of sporting activities. It was basketball last Saturday, but it could have been pétanque, beach volleyball... The aim is to meet young people, propose, exchange and build projects with them at the youth center. Sports activities are free every Saturday during school terms.

Places at Locmiquélic rates

Young people from Locmiquélic will benefit from 10 places on the summer camps offered by Riantec and the Riantec rate for paid activities", announce the directors of the two facilities.
