Senegal has signed two agreements with South Korea under which the East Asian country will provide the Senegalese National Assembly with communication facilities and equip laboratories in Kaolack (center), Louga (north) and Thies (west).

They say that the South Korean government will also support a project to strengthen public health laboratories in Senegal by equipping them with the other half.

The South Korean funding will increase the capacity of public biosafety and biosecurity laboratories, according to Ms. Sarr.

Amadou Mame Diop welcomed the partnership between the two parties.

The project to strengthen the means of communication of the National Assembly, launched in 2018, will ''propel'' this institution among the ''most modern parliaments and most in tune with the issues of their time,'' according to Mr. Diop.

With the introduction of new information technologies and communication, the transparency of parliamentary activities and communication with the public will be enhanced,'' he added.
