France

The COVID-19 crisis has revealed that digital technology is at the heart of our societies and our lives. It has transformed our social relationships. It is a new place of economic and political possibilities. But the digital world is now facing several challenges: to be accessible to all, to serve citizens, to reduce its environmental impact.

Designed with the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (ANCT), the association Les Interconnectés and the association Villes Internet, the Delegation for the External Action of Local Authorities (DAECT) is launching a call for projects (AAP) in support of decentralized cooperation "Inclusive and Responsible Digital". (DAECT) is launching a call for projects (AAP) in support of decentralized cooperation, "Inclusive and responsible digital", aimed at all local authorities in metropolitan France and the French overseas territories, and their foreign partners.

The subject of digital is cross-cutting in nature and can be applied to all local public policies. Thus, the rules of this call for proposals are very open. It aims to support decentralized cooperation projects that contribute to greater accessibility to the digital world for all publics (both physical access and in terms of skills, as each public has its own problems). It is also concerned with reducing the environmental impact of digital technology (reuse, circular economy, eco-design, etc.).), or investing in a digital environment that protects and serves citizens (digital services, smart cities, etc.).

You will find in the rules of the call for proposals several examples of actions, international and European cooperation projects on this theme at the local government level, along with many other resources to help you build your project.

The rules of this call for proposals as well as all the related documents are available on France Diplomatie. Applications must be submitted online before 28 December 2022 on the CNCD platform. The duration of the projects must be between 12 and 24 months.
