Belgium/Mons: Festival au Carré puts the performing arts at the heart of the city of Doudou from July 1 to 10
The performing arts will take over Mons' halls, streets, gardens, public squares and emblematic landscapes from July 1 to 10 as part of the Festival au Carré, the event's organizers announced on Wednesday May 20.
The festival intends to remain true to its identity, offering strong artistic experiences in the very heart of the city. The festival program includes theater, circus, music, puppet shows, gastronomy, artistic performances, participatory shows, popular and "unifying" celebrations, as well as events that reveal the richness of Montmorency's heritage.
The 2026 edition of the "Festival au Carré" will be distinguished by its international scope, with spectacular and immersive "Belgian Premieres". The event also intends to remain true to its local roots. It will be supported by numerous cultural, associative and institutional partners in the Mons region, notably for the "Terrils en vie" circus day and the traditional "Mons Street Party".
