Congo/Associative life: Acele contributes to the sanitation of Ngamakosso high school

On October 29, the Association congolaise des enseignants des langues étrangères (Acele) organized a clean-up operation at the Lycée de Ngamakosso in Brazzaville's 6th arrondissement, Talangaï.

Acele president Bovid Chrishiler Atouta recalled that the aim of the project is to help learners at Ngamakosso high school to take ownership of the protection of their school environment by treating plastic and biodegradable waste. Taking the example of schools in Kansas State, Chicago and Oregon, where he did his American exchange programs (Fulbright and Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program), Bovid Chrishiler Atouta "encouraged the pupilsBovid Chrishiler Atouta "encouraged the students of this high school to imbibe the values of volunteerism by regularly cleaning up their school to serve as an example to other schools in the outlying districts of Brazzaville".

Acele also donated nine garbage bins to Onoth Sylvestre Mviri, principal of this public general education establishment, to enable pupils to put garbage in them instead of throwing it on the ground.

To promote the use of English in Brazzaville's public schools, Acele has also set up an English club. The aim is to enable Ngamakosso's learners to practice English during the school term.
