Congo/ Training in new technologies: Enia 2.0 opens its doors in Brazzaville
The Ecole du numérique et de l'intelligence artificielle (Enia 2.0), one of the few schools in the Republic of Congo offering training in artificial intelligence, officially launched its activities on October 7. The 1,500-seat school offers young Congolese the chance to learn and make a career in some of the professions of the future.
According to its promoter Chirel Mongo, Enia is the first school of its kind in the Congo. It is the fruit of long experience in training young people. It was in response to a strong demand for training in the fields of artificial intelligence and the absence of training facilities that this young Congolese man embarked on this ambitious project.
According to this young engineer, electronics technician and programmer, Enia aims to train engineers, job seekers and job creators in the fields of artificial intelligence and new technologies. To realize its ambition, Enia has set up a business incubator. "We created Enia because we realized that there was a scarcity of training courses in certain fields. This first school for technological innovation and artificial intelligence is different from others, in that we're going to focus on practical application. When our students go on placement, they will be considered as agents, not those who come to learn," says Chirel Mongo.
To date, 410 students are taking classroom and video-conference courses at the school. In addition to classes, visits to schools and other partner structures are planned. Most of the students enrolled in this school of higher education testify to their attachment to the values of Enia 2.0. "At first, I was dubious about the idea of artificial intelligence because it was new to us, but personally I really wanted to train in this field. Thanks to the offers and commitment to practical teaching at Enia, I'm now dreaming big and discovering new information and communication technology techniques ", explained one learner.
Enia prepares young people for a captivating immersion into a promising future. Those in charge of the school want to adapt young Congolese to the mutations of new information and communication technologies. Comprising four buildings with classrooms, an infirmary, a laboratory, a head office, a dining hall, a digital library and much more, Enia, which is located in the heart of the city, is the ideal place to learn about new technologies.Enia, which is located on the premises of the Institut des jeunes sourds, offers a wide range of training courses, mainly in artificial intelligence. These include bachelor's degrees in technology and a BTS in mechatronics.
