Égletons. A traditional May 1st in Uffenheim. Mayor Charles Ferré, first deputy mayor Patricia Dubouchaud and Elisabeth Soubranne, president of the Égletons-Uffenheim twinning committee, along with a number of elected representatives, were welcomed in Uffenheim, Middle Franconia, for the traditional Walpurgi festival.

As they do every year, representatives from Égletons met up with delegations from Germany, Italy and Poland to celebrate their twinning. Welcomed on arrival by the mayor of Uffenheim, Wolfgang Lampe, and members of the twinning committee, the Égletonnais alternated visits with convivial moments. On April 30, after a tour of the town and a visit to the museums, the delegation was received at the town hall to sign the book of friendship.Hôtel de Ville to sign the guest book marking 25 years of friendship, in the company of the German and Polish delegations. In the afternoon, a tour of several construction sites was organized, before the arrival of the procession and the local orchestra at the tent set up for the Oktoberfest.On May 1 , the traditional parade was led by the Queen of May.

A German delegation will visit Egletons for the Fête Votive on August 14 and 15.
