France/Associations unite for the well-being of caregivers

On Monday, April 15, Didier Garcia, President of the Marcella association, brought together three associations around Marcella for an animation workshop for caregivers. Present were Leila and Séverine from the Aide à domicile du château Silhol association in Nîmes, Aïcha and Jasmine from the Unicité association in Nîmes, a pioneer and expert in the mobilization of young people on civic service to support family carers, and Samira and Marianne from the APF France handicap association, which defends the rights and supports people with disabilities and their families.

It's a winning partnership, " explains Didier Garcia, " that brings a cross-functional dynamic. I sought out and reached out to the associations to createa synergy so that each with its own skills could provide more global solutions for all pathologies. Today, there are some twenty associations grouped together, all with a philosophy based on a specific disability. A partnership that enables caregivers to enjoy a more convivial and comfortable life".
