Michel PELIEU, President of the Hautes-Pyrénées Department, met with the elected members of the Permanent Commission on July 29 to vote on a series of aids and measures within his competence.

Focus on some of them (non-exhaustive list) supported by the Department:

SOCIAL SOLIDARITY
VARIOUS SOCIAL ACTIONS : 216,596 € ATTRIBUTED
The Department supports many local associations and structures working in the fields of health, child protection, assistance to the elderly, the disabled and the return to employment.
59 files were approved for a total of €216,596, including, for example
5,000 € awarded to the association Les Petits Loups for the operation of the parent-child drop-in center (LAEP) offering itinerant educational activities in the Val d'Adour.
10,300 € awarded to the association Syst'aime for its actions to support people suffering from difficulties in the family, social, educational and professional environment.
16 200 € awarded to the Greta des Hautes-Pyrénées for the continued development of its home help relay.
34,016 € allocated to the association Récup'Actions to continue its integration projects and its support for people excluded from the world of work.

TERRITORIAL SOLIDARITIES
TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT AND DYNAMIZATION OF URBAN COMMUNITIES
The Department provides proactive support for community planning, equipment and development projects. 33 subsidy applications have been accepted for a total of €2,547,324, including, for example:
€170,000 awarded to the municipality of Sarriac-Magnoac for the renovation of the Maison Cartier into a multi-activity space.
200,000 to the Plateau de Lannemezan community of municipalities for the construction of an aquatic center.
150,000 to the city of Tarbes for the reconstruction of the Foirail hall.
65,000 to the municipality of Juillan for the renovation of the synthetic soccer field.

AGRICULTURE: AID FOR THE GUARDING OF HORSES
26,544 € have been allocated by the Department to farmers and groups of breeders in order to finance the posts of mountain pasture guards.
24 managers have benefited from the Department's support following the allocation of this aid.

CULTURE AND SPORT
CANTONAL ANIMATION FUND : 12,100 € ATTRIBUTED
Following the last programming of the FAC (Fonds d'animation cantonal), 18 associative structures benefited from an aid from the Department for their participation in local cultural and sports activities, including, as an example:
500 € allocated to the association Klan Rock for the organization of workshops of discovery and practice of current music in Capvern.
800 € allocated to the association Agon Pyrenees for the organization of the fixed gear bike race in the Aure valley.
1 500 € allocated to the association Les Boleros burgais for the organization of the 25th anniversary of the Banda in Burg.

AID TO INDIVIDUAL SPORT
15 900 € of aid have been allocated to high level sportsmen and women in the Pyrenees
12 sportsmen and women have benefited from the Department's aid during the last examination of their files.
