The "Debbo Afrique" association plans to support rural women and young people in their efforts to revive the local economy through training in local product processing and technical support for various targeted projects, said its national coordinator, Bachir Diagne, on Tuesday.

"+Debbo Afrique+ is a national association that aims to support young people and women in various fields, including female entrepreneurship, through financing and training in different projects thanks to partners with whom it has been collaborating for several years," he said.

The association's national coordinator was speaking to journalists during a monitoring and evaluation visit to the women's plantations at Ndombo Alarba, in the northern commune of Richard-Toll.

Bachir Diagne also added that "Debbo Afrique" aims to boost the local economy by equipping the women and young people of Ndombo Alarba with technical resources through "training programs in job-creating sectors".

Rural women are an important link in the agricultural sector. If all the means are made available to them, they could greatly contribute to a surplus in the economic sector", he emphasized.

The coordinator of "Debbo Afrique" also invited the Senegalese government and its agricultural partners to provide more support for rural women through empowerment projects, in order to boost the rural economy.
