On Monday September 9, 2024, Afpa in Coutances (Manche) and La Poste Group signed a partnership agreement. The aim is to facilitate professional integration and retraining for both Afpa and La Poste.

It's a new collaboration between two institutions. On Monday, September 9, 2024, in Coutances (Manche), the Afpa (professional association for adult training) and La Poste Group signed a partnership agreement, with the shared aim of improving professional integration.

La Poste joins Afpa's "village of solutions", which until now has included ten partners, such as Accueil emploi, the Foyer des jeunes travailleurs (FJT), and the Caisse primaire d'assurance maladie de la Manche.

Facilitating access to rights

The first concrete action is already in place: in the near future, La Poste will be organizing driving test sessions on the Afpa premises. This opportunity will be reserved for the association's trainees. "In La Manche, geographical mobility can be difficult. The fact that a partner is coming to us will make it easier to pass the driving test," explains Catherine Soissons, Afpa's regional director.

Supporting retraining

In exchange, Afpa will offer support for La Poste employees planning to retrain. The letter carrier's job is changing," adds Laure Lecoffre, La Poste's regional representative for the Manche département. We have in-house training, but this is also an opportunity to offer our employees local training at the Afpa in Coutances."
