The role of Moroccan women in transmitting and promoting cultural and intangible heritage was the focus of a meeting held on Tuesday evening at the Maison du Maroc in Paris.
Initiated by the Association Asli, in partnership with the Moroccan Consulates General in Paris and Orly, under the theme "Femmes Marocaines de France et Patrimoine - Les Ponts Invisibles : Héritage, Tradition, Transmission", this meeting highlighted the role of Moroccan women from the diaspora who, through their commitment, perpetuate and pass on traditions, while reinterpreting them in the light of contemporary developments.
"Moroccan women, involved in various fields, play a very important role in preserving and safeguarding our heritage", asserted the Minister Delegate in charge of the Digital Transition and the Reform of the State.rique Transition and Administration Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, speaking at a panel on "the role of diplomacy, institutions and the diaspora in preserving tangible and intangible heritage".
Today, women both in Morocco and abroad have distinguished themselves in a number of fields, ensuring that these values and know-how are passed on from generation to generation, she stressed.
The Minister also highlighted the importance of modern tools such as digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI), which can be used to reinforce this cultural preservation.
This includes the digitization of content, she said, adding that "digital tools can be used to promote culture and heritage".
The Kingdom's Consul General in Paris, Nada Bakkali Hassani, underlined the importance of this meeting, which is part of a dynamic of lasting cooperation between France and Morocco.between France and Morocco, noting that this cooperation further strengthens cultural, economic and social exchanges and offers numerous opportunities for the joint development of the two countries.
She mentioned several areas of cooperation, including museum exchanges, Moroccan participation in major events such as the Paris Book Festival in April, and the development of digital projects to promote Moroccan heritage.

She went on to say that this meeting is "a testimony to the fruitful dialogue between tradition and modernity, memory and innovation", and "proof that our roots are not a hindrance, but a foundation".
For his part, Mohamed Taourirte, Director of the Maison du Maroc in Paris, described the event as a far-reaching initiative that highlights the essential role played by women in transmitting culture and strengthening ties between the two shores.
