This board embodies the unity of local economic players and their commitment to working together for the island's future. AEIG was created to unite all the island's economic players (shopkeepers, craftsmen, producers, the professions and associations) in a strong and united network, to promote the island's economic development and to promote the development of the local economy.to defend their common interests in the face of the island's specific challenges, such as shipping, waste management and off-season living. The aim is also to strengthen internal and external communication with modern tools (WhatsApp group, bimonthly newsletter) and an active presence on social networks and in the media.

Several thematic commissions

To meet the specific needs of its members, and to support concrete projects, AEIG will be setting up thematic commissions in which members can participate. The "Support for businesses" commission covers the following issues: housing, employment and maintaining businesses. A second commission deals with issues relating to maritime and land transport, and waste management. Our mission will be to centralize needs and make suggestions for optimizing these essential services", explains Chairman François Stéphant. Finally, the "Animations" commission will coordinate events and initiatives to energize the island and support businesses, while the "Communication" commission will ensure the visibility of the association's actions and the dissemination of internal and external information. If other needs arise, new commissions can be created to meet members' expectations," adds vice-president Agnès Tonnerre.

A €30 membership fee

For 2025, the annual membership fee has been set at €30, to enable all companies, professions and associations to join AEIG.
