AUF at REF 2025: a stronger commitment to the French-speaking economy
The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie actively participated in the 5ᵉ edition of the Rencontre des Entrepreneurs Francophones (REF), held from June 26 to 28, 2025 in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo.
Led by its Rector, Professor Slim Khalbous, the delegation also included Prof. André Alain Kiyindou, AUF Regional Director - Central Africa and the Great Lakes, Mr. Jean-Luc Konan, Deputy Regional Director - Administration, and Prof. Édouard Ngamountsika, AUF representative in Congo. Organized by the Alliance des Patronats Francophones (APF) and Unicongo, under the patronage of President Denis Sassou Nguesso, the event brought together French-speaking economic, institutional and academic players. The AUF had a stand highlighting its initiatives to strengthen skills, professionalization and entrepreneurship.
Professor Slim Khalbous took the floor during panel n°5 to talk about the conditions necessary for a competitive Francophone economic space: securing business, legal harmonization and talent development.
This participation illustrates the AUF's commitment to building concrete bridges between universities and the business world, in the service of Francophone development.
