Togo/ The CCI-Togo and the Hebei Business Association (Chinese province) sign a partnership agreement
In early January, the Togo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI-Togo) formalized a partnership with the Cultural Business Association of Hebei Province, China. The signing ceremony took place in Lomé, in the presence of Lisha Yan, General Manager of this association, and José Kwassi Syménouh, President of the CCI-Togo.
The aim of this partnership agreement is to strengthen economic ties between the two entities. In particular, it provides for the development of trade relations, the organization of forums and trade fairs, and support for the establishment of Togolese and Chinese companies.
Hebei province, renowned for its industrial potential and economic dynamism, could become a strategic partner in Togo's efforts to diversify its economy, according to both parties. Located in north-eastern China, Hebei is an industrial hub, home to key sectors such as mining, heavy industry, pharmaceuticals and e-commerce.
The signing of this memorandum of understanding follows on from discussions initiated in November 2024 between the two parties. These exchanges had identified several areas of cooperation likely to strengthen economic and trade relations between Togo and Hebei.
Founded in May 2015, the Hebei Province Cultural Business Association brings together numerous economic players from a variety of sectors, including medicine, textiles, steel, building materials, automotive, packaging and agriculture. " This network of companies represents an opportunity for Togo, which is seeking to strengthen its trade with international partners and boost its economic fabric ".
