Togo: CUBE incubator and IOF to train 300 young people in digital technology and entrepreneurship
In Togo, the D-CLIC program will train 300 young people, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship and digital technology at the start of the year.
The initiative, operationalized by the incubator Centre Urbain de Business et d'Entrepreneuriat (CUBE), and supported by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), will run from January to April in the cities of Lomé, Aného, Dapaong and Kara.
Targeting web and mobile development and digital communication professions, D-CLIC aims to strengthen participants' digital skills, while promoting equitable access to technological resources.
To date, the program, which is in its seed phase, claims to have supported more than 130 partner companies and organizations, ranging from startups to associations, committed to offering professional immersion opportunities (internships) to the young people trained. Such collaboration aims to maximize the impact of the program and connect young talent to the job market.
The project is part of a wider pan-African initiative. D-CLIC is deployed in 13 other countries, including Senegal, Burkina Faso and Tunisia.
