Chad: preparation of the Guéra Provincial Development Plan
On October 28, 2024, the Reper project meeting room played host to executives from the provincial advocacy committee for the preparation of the Guéra Provincial Development Plan (PDP), at a meeting chaired by the province's governor, Mahamat Togou Tchohimi.
The aim of the meeting was to establish initial contact between the members of the provincial committee, and to coordinate the key stages in the development of the PDP.
In his opening speech, the Governor congratulated the participants on their commitment to this essential project for the province's development, and expressed his gratitude for the efforts invested in preparing the PDP, which will be presented in N'Djamena next November.
The main points discussed at the meeting included: the preparation of planning documents; the modalities of consultation and concertation with the various local stakeholders. For his part, the governor stressed the importance of in-depth work by the technical committee, to ensure the quality of the draft plan, before its final presentation for adoption.
Next steps include: technical committee meetings; data collection and analysis; drafting of the plan; validation by participants; official presentation in N'Djamena. The meeting ended with constructive exchanges on development challenges and opportunities in Guéra province.
