Morocco/Settat Province: Launch and inauguration of several projects on the occasion of the Independence Day

Several infrastructure projects and basic equipment have been launched or inaugurated in many territorial communities of the province of Settat. These projects were inaugurated or launched by the Governor of the province of Settat, Ibrahim Abou Zaid on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Green March and the 67th anniversary of the Independence Day.

Thus, in the town of Amrizik, the governor of the province has kicked off the work of widening and strengthening the provincial road N 3619 linking the municipalities of Amrizik and Nkhila over a length of 12 km with a budget of 13.267 million dirhams. The aim is to ensure the fluidity of road traffic in these two municipalities and open up this area whose population is estimated at nearly 40 thousand inhabitants.

In a statement to M24, the continuous news channel of MAP, the president of the municipality of Amrizik Hajiba Aboudou stressed that the road linking the communes ofAmrizik and Nkhila in the direction of the city of Khouribga which will be expanded and strengthened through the efforts of local authorities, will provide a new dynamic development to both municipalities and neighboring municipalities.

As part of efforts to reduce territorial and social disparities in the rural world, it was also launched the paving of the provincial road 5303 linking the city of El Borouj to the province of Khouribga over a length of 28 KM with a budget of 6 million dirhams.

On this occasion, the kick-off was also given to the completion of the construction of the provincial road 3609 connecting the municipalities of Al Haouza and Sidi El Aidi over a length of 12 KM with a total budget of 11.213 million dirhams.

In the city of Settat, the provincial governor kicked off the construction of road N 3624 linking the city of Settat and the municipalities of Mzamza South and Ouled Sghir over a length of 8 KM with a budget of 8.729 million dirhams.

In this regard, the provincial director of equipment Jamal Boualem said in a similar statement that this road project is part of the program to reduce territorial and economic disparities in the region.duction of territorial and social disparities in the province of Settat and the road maintenance program which covers nearly 70 KM with a total budget of 60 million dirhams.

These projects, which are in the finalization phase, concern 11 rural communities in the province, he added, noting that these projects have required a budget of 309 million dirhams for the realization of nearly 340 KM.

To strengthen the infrastructure and basic health equipment, it was inaugurated a birthing center in the town of Ras Al Ain which covers an area of 340 m2 with a budget of nearlys of 1.361 million dirhams, in addition to the inauguration of the orientation center for people with disabilities, carried out under a partnership between the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) and the national mutual aid. The aim is to improve the schooling conditions of children with disabilities and to bring the social assistance services closer to these children.

In the city of El Borouj, Mr. Abou Zaid kicked off the construction of a center for homeless people on an area of 157 m2 with a budget of 1.069 million dirhams. Similarly, he proceeded to the inauguration in El Brouj of a new center for hemodialysis and the delivery of an ambulance to the Association "Hanane Dar AL Oumouma".

In this regard, the provincial director of health in Settat, Dr. Ait El Khadir said in a statement to M24, that the two projects inaugurateds are of paramount importance to bring closer and improve services to the rural world and alleviate the ever-increasing pressure on the provincial hospital of Settat.

To bring administrative services closer to citizens, the provincial governor inaugurated the new headquarters of the Pachalik Al Ouled and the headquarters of the circle of Krakra Ouled Amer in the town ofEl Borouj and launched the work of public lighting at the entrance to the city of El Borouj with a budget envelope of nearly 2.748 million dirhams.
