France/Aude: The Department and Acti City still on the same wavelength

The departmental council and the popular education association have renewed a partnership that will provide more than €1 million in financial support over three years for actions benefiting young people in Audois (11-30 years old).

On Friday, June 17, an agreement was signed between the Department of Aude and Acti City: a partnership that will bind the two structures for three years and represents financial support from the Department of 382,000 € per year (or 1.146 M€ paid to Acti City). The president of the Department, Hélène Sandragné, her vice-presidents Valérie Dumontet and Sébastien Gasparini, as well as the president and director of Acti City, Christophe Igual, and the president of the Department, Sébastien Gasparini.Acti City, Christophe Igual and Claude Soula were present to affirm the close collaboration between the community and the association of popular education, for the benefit of the young people of Audois.

Hélène Sandragné recalled that "the partnership that binds us is not new, it is part of a shared desire to carry together a strong departmental policy for our youth.The agreement contains an action plan with three objectives for the Acti City public (young people aged 11 to 30): to promote the information of young people on the schemes that concern them; to contribute to the development of young people, in particular by allowing access to culture, sports and leisure for as many people as possible; and finally to facilitate access to independence for young people.The renewal of the partnership aims to further strengthen the links between Acti City and the Department by further reinforcing the cross-cutting nature and articulation of their respective actions.
