France/Yvelines: €519 million already committed under the Recovery Plan

The 100 billion euro recovery plan celebrated its first year on 3 September. In the Yvelines, nearly 520 million euros have already been committed to help local players fight the crisis.

Nearly 200 companies in the Yvelines department (of all sizes) have received subsidies under the government's recovery plan. 80 local authorities, 41 cultural and heritage players and 32 associations have also benefited. The total sum committed since 3 September 2020 reaches 519 million euros. "The crisis has a very strong territorial dimension. The projects assisted have been selected locally. It is not a plan carried by the top", underlines Jehane Bensedira, deputy secretary general of the prefecture of Yvelines, in charge of economic development and territorial cohesion. Most of the funding (288 million euros) has been devoted to the competitiveness component (including tax benefits). 85 million euros were released for the ecology component.

Repatriating activities to France

188 industrial projects received direct subsidies for a total of €30.7 million under the competitiveness component. Aircaptif, located in Trappes, a winner of the aeronautics fund, for example, received nearly one million euros to develop a production line in France in order to repatriate activities subcontracted in Europe. Apajeo, a company located in Magny-les-Hameaux, winner of the fund for accelerating industrial development in the regions, received 300,000 euros for the acquisition of robot machining centres.

The rural areas of Yvelines were also supported by the Recovery Plan. 86 farmers benefited from it in order to modernise their working tools.

Projects to preserve the environment and promote sustainable development, which are at the heart of the Recovery Plan, have been supported to the tune of 86 million euros:renovation of public and private buildings (for €5.33 million) and community buildings (€11.2 million), greening, bicycle paths, waste management, biodiversity protection...
