DAKAR - MISSION TO SUPPORT FUNDRAISING AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUB-REGIONAL RELATIONS

The MFR National Union is looking for a Field Officer for Africa based in Dakar to support the MFR Unions in Cameroon, Chad, Burkina, Mali, Benin, Togo, Senegal, Morocco and Madagascar in the implementation of the AFD co-financed project "Solidarité Réussite Jeunesse Territoires" (Solidarity Successful Youth Territories) in relation with the "MFR support in the world" mission officers based in Paris the French MFR partner federations and in a "field" team with two other mission managers "Support for the development of partnerships and advocacy" and "Support for the economic model and financial engineering", then for the development of sub-regional relations.

PURPOSE OF THE MISSION :
- To support the Unions in their mobilization of resources (national and sub-regional) and in the implementation of their experimentation project:
- Mapping of sub-regional donors and support to unions for their mapping of national donors
- Development of donor relations and relations with strategic sub-regional partners
- Monitoring of national and sub-regional AAPs
- Co-writing of projects with the Unions (in response to a call for proposals or for a bank of potentially fundable projects)
- Facilitation of consortium in the framework of call for projects
- Setting up files with the Unions to seek funding
- Search for funding for international partnerships and sub-regional dimensions
- Working closely with the MFR World Foundation
- Representation of the UNMFREO to partners in the field
- Input and reflection on the SRJT and cross-cutting themes
- Participation in monitoring-evaluation and capitalization activities
- Facilitating relations between the unions and the French MFR partner federations

ACTIVITIES OF THE MISSION :
- Work in collaboration and synergy with the other 2 officers of the Dakar team
- Animation of a reflective and collaborative dynamic between the 9 national Unions by facilitating the mutualisation of practices between unions...
- Accompaniment of the Unions according to the requests, availabilities, opportunities in face-to-face (missions) and / or in remote
- Organization of grouping sessions of the 9 Unions with the other MCs in remote and / or face-to-face if the health context requires it
- Participation in events, meetings with partners and other actors in the field and encourage them if necessary
- Monitoring of calls for projects
- Participation in committee meetings when appropriate
- Exchanges with French MFR partner federations
- Work with a Paris CM on a transversal file
- Participation in monitoring-evaluation and capitalization activities,
- Realization of activity reports and participation in the elaboration of the program's activity reports
- Participation in SRJT team meetings, grouping sessions and international MFR events

DESIRED TRAINING :
- Bachelor's degree, diploma related to the activities of the mission
- Experience related to the mission would be a plus

REQUIRED SKILLS :
- Knowledge and experience in fundraising. Knowledge of the world of agricultural and rural training and associative governance would be a plus.
- Knowledge of donor policies, procedures for accessing funding and financial reporting
- Experience in fundraising
- Ability to position oneself as an "accompanier?trice - autonomy developer" and collective facilitator
- Knowledge and experience in project development and management
- Sensitivity to agricultural and rural realities and associative life
- Organizational and relational skills
- Knowledge of remote work tools
- Autonomy and versatility
- Dynamism, listening skills, ability to adapt, to work in a team, communication skills, reactivity.
- Sensitivity to gender, sustainable development, youth and migration issues would be a plus

CONDITIONS OF THE MISSION :
- Status: Volunteer of International Solidarity (law of 23/02/2005)
- Dates : from August 1st 2021 to February 28th 2023 with preparation for departure in July 21.
- At the end of the mission, UNMFREO will try to propose jobs in Maisons Familiales Rurales in France, the decision to engage both the person in charge of the mission and the association concerned remaining entirely free.
- Compensation: according to the VSI compensation scale and MFR experience - Mutual insurance - Supplementary pension - Housing and travel allowance - 1 round trip per year for the mission leader and his/her dependents
- Preparation for departure: Paris and in the federations (1 week if field experience)
- In the field: The position is based in Dakar (Senegal)
- It requires :
- regular travel to the 9 countries, taking into account the security context
- the organization of regional meetings of the heads of national unions
- Participation in national and international partner events.
