Burkina Faso/L'ABHDESO and its partners in Hüttlingen provide the commune of Lèna with a Centre d'Eveil et d'Education Préscolaire (CEEP) (Pre-school Awakening and Education Centre)
As part of its early childhood education programme, the Burkina Hüttlingen Association for Solidarity Development (ABHDSO) has set up a private pre-school education and early learning centre (CEEPP) in the commune of Lèna.

The date of January 16, 2021 will remain in the memory of the inhabitants of Lèna for a long time. For good reason, the Burkina Hüttlingen Association for Solidarity Development (ABHDESO), in partnership with the Holy Cross Parish of Hüttlingen (Germany) has erected a Pre-school Education and Awakening Centre.
Placed under the patronage of Mr. Klaus Köhler, the centre is located in Hüttlingen, Germany.Under the patronage of Mr. Lamine Soulama, High Commissioner of Le Houet, the inauguration ceremony was sponsored by Mr. Bourahima Sanou, Central Mayor of Bobo Dioulasso and co-sponsored by Mr. Lamine Soulama and Mr. Lamine Soulama.e by Mrs MILLOGO/MINOUNGOU Victorine, Former Provincial Director of Education and Literacy of Tuy and Le Houet,
At a cost of 60 million 300 thousand CFA francs, this educational infrastructure is composed of :
a building with 3 classrooms
an administrative block
a rest room
a refectory
a kitchen
an office buildinga shop
a room for the caretaker
2 blocks of latrines
a children's playground
a vegetable garden and
an area for learning about animal husbandry
"The realization of a school, a centre for emulation of knowledge, is always a great source of satisfaction. This morning's ceremony is of great importance as it is the first private pre-school education and early learning centre (CEEP) on such a large scale and of such a high standard in the commune of Léna.
For Fabéré Boureima SANON, mayor of the commune of Bobo Dioulasso, sponsor of the inauguration ceremony, this infrastructure, which is in line with the educational policy of the Burkinabe state, is to be commended for its true value.
"The national priority of education in Burkina Faso is regularly affirmed in all education policy documents. The realization of this masterpiece that we are inaugurating today in Lena is totally in line with the national education policy. It is in this that I am delighted with you, because more than ever, the municipality of Lena is not only engaged in the struggle for quality school education for all, but above all, it is part of the support of the Burkinabe state for the achievement of its objectives".
Built on an area of 6,000 m2, the "Sainte Honorine" Pre-school Education and Awakening Centre in Lena welcomes for its first promotion 31 pupils supervised by qualified staff. It is quite naturally that René MILLOGO, President of the ABHDESO, expressed his deep joy and real satisfaction to have arrived at the end of the tunnel of this project after many difficulties that marked its implementation.
"The Centre d'Eveil et d'Education Préscolaire Privé Sainte Honorine de Lèna that we are inaugurating today is one of the most important projects implemented by our association and its partners. It was initiated and built in order to give Lèna's young children the chance to build a solid base for a safer school curriculum. The realisation of this project has not been easy, so many sacrifices have been made for the benefactors and members of our young association. But optimism and love for the children of Lèna have always taken over". Mr. René MILLOGO pointed out that Lèna is full of high-flying executives and intellectuals. He urged these sons and daughters to make the most of their relations to boost the development of the Commune.
For a number of years now, the management of early learning and educational establishments in Burkina Faso has been devolved to local authorities. This early learning and pre-school education infrastructure, the first of its kind in the locality of Lèna, removes a thorn in the side of the Mayor of the Commune of Lèna's concerns. Honoré MILLOGO does not hide his feelings:
"It is a great joy that animates me on this day to see this jewel. A few years ago, René MILLOGO, the promoter, spoke to me about his will to build such an infrastructure. I told him that we had such a project in our communal development plan, but due to lack of resources we could not carry it out. It is therefore a chance for the Commune of Lèna that René, his team and their partners have been able to build this school for the benefit of the awakening and education of our children and I would like to thank them and invite the population to take advantage of it".
"It's a real relief, because we had to travel five or six kilometres one way every morning to get to school. It's a real relief because we had to travel five to six kilometres one way every morning to drop off our children and then pick them up at noon because there was no kindergarten here in Lèna. We thank the promoter who comes through this infrastructure to relieve us, allowing the monitors to take care of the awakening and education of our children on the spot".
Apart from this project, and in only a few years of existence, this partnership between ABHDESO and the parish of Hüttlingen in Germany, has made it possible to participate in the development of Lena, Burkina Faso, through the following activitiess various activities (donations of computer equipment, food, hand washing, garbage bins, etc.) for the benefit of vulnerable people, internal refugees, high schools and schools of the administration services.
ABHDESO does not intend to stop there. Other community projects are being developed and implemented. The most imminent project is to take charge of the membership of 175 sponsored children in a mutual health insurance scheme so that each of the beneficiaries will benefit from accident and health insurance as of February 2021.
