Benin/Cooperation: Nigeria reopens the Benin-Nigerian border at Tchikandou (Nikki) after more than a year of closure
The Federal State of Nigeria has, after a year of closing its border with Benin, decided yesterday Friday to reopen it, ABP learned from local sources.

According to the source, the people of Tchikandou welcomed this decision by the eastern neighbour. Several inhabitants of this border locality, reports the same source, expressed their joy in the evening of Friday at the edge of the bridge marking the border.
The reopening of this border will undoubtedly reactivate trade, they were told. It will also restore social relations between these two peoples who have been suffering for some time because of this artificial blockade, it was added.
