Chad: ADETIC Concludes Its Training Program in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in Abéché

In Abéché, ADETIC concluded the 2026 edition of the “Digital Vacations” program by presenting certificates to young people who had received training in computer science and artificial intelligence.

The Agency for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies (Adetic) in Abéché held, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the closing ceremony and certificate presentation for participants in the “Digital Vacation – 2026 Edition” program.

The ceremony was attended by the Ouaddaï Provincial Telecommunications Delegate, Abdelhamid Hassaballah Djello; the director of Adetic in Abéché, Mahamat Abdallah Samille; as well as trainers, guests, and program participants.

In his remarks, the director of ADETIC in Abéché noted that this initiative is part of an effort to promote digital literacy and strengthen young people’s skills. He emphasized the importance of using the summer break to consolidate computer skills and learn about emerging technologies.

Focused on computer science and artificial intelligence (AI), the training aimed to equip participants with a better command of digital tools and help them understand the uses and opportunities associated with AI.

According to ADETIC officials, the goal goes beyond a simple introduction to computers and applications: it is about establishing a true digital culture to enable young people to integrate these tools into their academic, professional, entrepreneurial, and personal lives.

Speaking next, the provincial telecommunications delegate for Ouaddaï congratulated the recipients and commended ADETIC’s commitment, while also paying tribute to the trainers and stakeholders.

Addressing the recipients, he encouraged them to view their certificates as the starting point of a journey toward innovation. He also emphasized the imperative of using artificial intelligence responsibly, ethically, and constructively, based on critical thinking and verifying sources.

The provincial delegate further urged the young people to become digital ambassadors within their communities and encouraged Adetic to continue these initiatives to reach a greater number of young people in the province of Ouaddaï.

The ceremony concluded with a motion of thanks from the participants to the organizers, followed by the official presentation of certificates of completion.

Training, supporting, and equipping young people with digital skills is a key strategy for meeting the challenges of tomorrow.
