France - Nepal/NOTICE TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTS: Opening of a FACECO Nepal

In the wake of the devastating floods and landslides that struck Nepal and China on August 26, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and our embassy have taken action, working closely with local authorities. There have been a large number of casualties.

To support the civilian populations affected by this disaster, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, through its Crisis and Support Center, has activated—at the Minister’s request—the relief fund that accepts financial contributions from local governments (FACECO).

These funds will contribute to the emergency response being implemented by the Crisis and Support Center, particularly the delivery of humanitarian aid and support for partner NGOs working in Nepal.
