France/Pink October 2026: A Giant Charity Dictation Event for Everyone in Clichy-la-Garenne

Get out your best pens and dictionaries—it’s time for a dictation! The city of Clichy-la-Garenne is organizing a unique event, open to everyone, this Sunday, October 18, 2026. As part of the breast cancer awareness campaign Pink October, the town in the Hauts-de-Seine department is hosting a giant charity dictation.

This Sunday, Clichy City Hall will welcome anyone who wants to put their spelling and grammar to the test with a giant dictation.

Organized in partnership with the city’s Rotary Club, this dictation is open to both young people and adults: participants from every generation will compete word by word, period by comma. It’s a fun challenge to test our French skills… but that’s not all.

This dictation is part of “Pink October”: every year in October, numerous charitable and educational events are organized across France to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Therefore, to participate in this dictation, the city asks for a minimum donation of three euros at the time of registration. The funds raised will be donated to the Ligue contre le cancer in the 92 department.
