Canada/Ragweed: The City of Trois-Pistoles Encourages Residents to Get Involved
The City of Trois-Pistoles is urging its residents to pull up or mow their ragweed plants before they bloom. Through a Facebook post, the City is raising awareness among its residents about this invasive plant.
Trois-Pistoles notes that ragweed is one of the leading causes of seasonal allergies in Quebec and that this invasive plant releases its pollen mainly starting in August. Unlike poison ivy, it is not dangerous to the touch.
The City of Trois-Pistoles therefore encourages its residents to monitor their properties to help create a healthier environment for the community.
