The mayor of Le Mans (Sarthe) has just announced the forthcoming twinning of the town with Maranello (Italy), the historic headquarters of Ferrari.
During the inauguration of the 24 Heures du Mans 2025 winners' footprints, the mayor of the Sarthe prefecture town, Stéphane Le Foll, took the opportunity to make an announcement this Friday, June 5, 2026.
Le Mans will soon be twinned with Maranello, Italy, the historic home of Ferrari.

The mayor reveals that he has "exchanged letters" with the Italian town's mayor, Luigi Zironi.
"I'm due to meet him soon on my way to Maranello," he says, intending to bring along Yifei Ye, one of the drivers who won last year's Le Mans classic. "I'll give you a tour of the Ferrari museum," Ye replied.
