Belgium/Odoo and Partena join forces to offer a single HR and payroll management tool
Management software publisher Odoo and Partena Professionnal, experts in HR management and payroll services, presented their partnership in Louvain-la-Neuve on Thursday. Together, the two companies intend to offer the first fully integrated solution on the Belgian market, designed to simplify and accelerate the entire HR and payroll process.
The amount of the agreement is being kept secret by both players. However,Odoo CEO Fabien Pinckaers confirmed that it was at least "10 times" the size of its biggest current customer.
With this agreement, "we've just revolutionized the market", stressed Partena Professionnal CEO Roeland Van Dessel. "Belgium is one of the most difficult countries in which to do payroll. There are a lot of joint commissions, regions, collective agreements, etc.", he explained, as his company handles some 920,000 payslips. All this makes for a complex process.
"It's a service market. We were looking for a player to complement Odoo's offering. Partena was thinking of replacing its tools, and this came just at the right time," explains Fabien Pinckaers. "Everything is going to be unified between the employee who makes his leave declarations, the HRD who will validate all this and prepare the payroll, the Partena file managers who will validate it, and the big novelty is that it will all be done on a single tool."
The nature of this partnership is indeed to create a product and not simply share resources. "We're building everything together. To have a single platform," detailed the Odoo CEO.
With 262 paritarian commissions in Belgium, Partena and Odoo will start by implementing CP 200 (employees) and 302 (Horeca), the largest, before gradually tackling and adding the others. The offer will initially be available to accountants and company managers.
The aim is to launch in early 2027.
