The Saint-Lô (Manche)/Aalen (Germany) twinning committee held its general meeting on Thursday February 5, 2026. The committee is planning a trip to Germany in 2027.

Noémie Ambroise, president of the Saint-Lô/Aalen (Germany) twinning committee, opened the general meeting held on Thursday, February 5.vrier 2026, by approving changes to the articles of association (principally the change from "committee" to "board of directors"). An honorary membership was awarded to Robert Gauthier, who has worked hard to bring the two towns closer together.

Plans for 2026

Noémie Ambroise reviewed the past year's activities and actions. Outing to Arromanches, brunch, commemorative weekend, school exchange, handball exchange, presence at Aalen festivities, .... Projects were presented, starting with a trip to Aalen, a German brunch, a day outing, the loan of German books and a quarterly stammtisch (reserved table in a bar or restaurant).

The office remains unchanged. Three new members join the board, including Luka Khojanashvili, a young man of 18. I'm originally from Georgia. I'm the lead singer of the group "The connections" from the Saint-Lô arts school. Last September, we represented Saint-Lô in Aalen. We gave three concerts. It's important to have young people in these associations.
