Canada/Saint-Siméon-de-Bonaventure: road 132 rehabilitation could move forward next spring
An announcement concerning the rehabilitation of Route 132 in Saint-Siméon-de-Bonaventure could be made as early as next spring.
The municipality plans to completely rebuild its sewer and water infrastructures, while the Ministère des Transports du Québec will have to work on the stormwater network.
Estimated at around $30 million, the work could take several years to complete.
A meeting with municipal elected officials and government representatives was held last week to move the project forward.
A first phase of the project should be announced by Quebec by April.
The municipality would benefit from financial assistance covering up to 85% of costs.
