October 2025 - The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) has taken a major step forward in the Indian Ocean with the opening of its National Office in Comoros, accompanied by the establishment of a Francophone Employability Center (CEF).

This new representation, linked to Axis 2 of the AUF Strategy 2021-2025, dedicated to employability and entrepreneurship, is located in the Maison de l'Emploi in Comoros.It is located within the Maison de l'Emploi, which is under the authority of the Ministry of Youth and Employment, via a tripartite agreement with the University of the Comoros. The aim is to build bridges between higher education and the socio-economic world, to help young people enter the workforce.

The operational launch of the AUF's activities in the Comoros was marked by its participation in the Salon des métiers organized in Grande Comore, Anjouan and Mohéli. Mohéli, which provided an opportunity to present the Agency's missions, exchange views with local players and initiate promising collaborations.

The Centre d'employabilité francophone is structured around four key areas:

• Employment advice and mentoring
• Complementary training
• Professional certifications
• Entrepreneurial pre-incubation

Linked to the regional and worldwide network of CEFs, this structure offers concrete prospects to students and young graduates, while supporting pedagogical innovation and the deployment of structuring programs such as APPRENDRE and IFADEM.
