France/In Quéven, the twinning committee celebrates Franco-German friendship
On Thursday January 22, 2026, the Kewenn-BAW twinning committee organized a first-ever event to mark the anniversary of the Franco-German friendship at La Grange, bringing together around 30 people, including members of neighboring twinning committees (Hennebont and Plouay).
"In 1963, De Gaulle and Adenauer signed the Élysée Treaty to create Franco-German friendship and avoid new conflicts between the two countries. In 2003, Chirac and Schröder institutionalized it," explains Brigitte Nicaud, President of Kewenn-BAW. The association will be leaving for Germany on April 21 with the future mayor and representatives of the Pôle Jeunesse.
