Canada/Québec invests $239,000 in road safety in L'Islet and Kamouraska
Financial assistance of $239,000 has been granted to the municipalities of Saint-Aubert, Sainte-Hélène-de-Kamouraska and the Ville de Saint-Pascal to improve road safety.
Just over $9,000 was invested in the installation of an educational radar with trailer in Sainte-Hélène-de-Kamouraska, $122,000 in Saint-Aubert for the construction of a sidewalk and a flashing light, and $108,000 in Saint-Pascal for the installation of bollards, educational radar and rectangular flashing lights. Saint-Aubert for sidewalk construction and a flashing light, and $108,000 in Saint-Pascal for the installation of bollards, speed cameras and rectangular rapid flashing lights.
The funding comes from the Quebec government's Programme d'aide financière du Fonds de la sécurité routière (PAFFSR). These projects are designed to improve road safety in these communities.
