France/This bakery in Pluméliau-Bieuzy is organizing a galette operation for the orphans of firefighters.
To mark the centenary of the Œuvre des pupilles orphelins des sapeurs-pompiers de France, a number of bakeries are hosting "galettes solidaires" operations in January 2026. In Pluméliau-Bieuzy, L'Adélice is donating one euro to the association for every galette purchased.
TheŒuvre des pupilles orphelins des sapeurs-pompiers de France (ODP) is a non-profit organization founded in 1926 to provide moral and financial support for all orphans of volunteer, professional and military firefighters who have died on or off duty. It can also help the families of firefighters in difficulty. This year, the ODP is celebrating 100 years of solidarity and commitment to the families of firefighters.
One galette bought, €1 donated
The Pluméliau-Bieuzy fire brigade association is launching its galette des rois operation, in partnership with the Adelice bakery. This friendly, gourmet initiative will enable everyone to take part in the solidarity drive: for every galette des rois purchased, €1 will be donated to the ODP.
It will also be an opportunity to discover the association's collection of firefighters' helmets on display in the bakery", says Christophe Vagueresse, president of the association.
Until January 31 at the L'Adélice bakery, 19, rue de la République.
