Congo/ Education:Abala high school gets a digital classroom

Located in the Nkéni-Alima department, the Denis Sassou N'Guesso Lycée in Abala now boasts a multimedia room designed to reinforce the use of digital tools in secondary education. The infrastructure was recently commissioned at a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, Léon Juste Ibombo, in the presence of local and administrative authorities.

As part of the universal service program supported by the Fonds pour l'Accès et le Service Universels des Communications Électroniques (FASUCE), coordinated by the Agence de Régulation des Postes et des Communications Électroniques (ARPCE), this multimedia room aims to modernize the school environment and facilitate student access to information technologies.

With a capacity of up to 90 learners, this room offers a framework conducive to the acquisition of digital skills that are essential for learning.acquisition of digital skills essential to student success and openness to the world of knowledge.

Stressing the importance of this tool, Minister Léon Juste Ibombo hailed the strategic nature of this investment for the development of education in rural areas, recalling that the Lycée d'Abala is about to register its very first class of baccalaureate candidates, a decisive step in the education of young people in the district and neighboring localities.

For his part, Yves Ickonga, vice-chairman of the FASUCE committee, pointed out that this initiative is in line with the national ambition to position the Congo among the most advanced African countries in terms of universal service, by focusing on innovation and the quality of digital infrastructures.
