France/Ventenac-Cabardès: the twinning committee charts its course towards 2026
Members of the Cabardès-Montefalco twinning committee met at Château Le Bouchat-Alaux in Pennautier on Friday December 12 for their annual general meeting, in the presence of the mayors of Ventenac and Aragon.
Over fifty members attended the meeting and unanimously approved the moral, activity and financial reports presented by co-presidents Henri Bonnafous and Marie-Claude Curbières, secretary Jeannine Roquier and treasurer Jean-Paul Rossi. They reiterated the committee's commitment to the strong humanist values of solidarity, fraternity and tolerance, and thanked members and local authorities for their support.
It was pointed out that 32 members are taking Italian courses led by teacher Laëtitia Gasparini.
These courses, open to beginners and advanced levels, take place every Thursday in Ventenac.
Future projects include the organization of a cultural trip to Italy, scheduled from May 17 to 23, 2026. Participants will have the opportunity to discover Tuscany, including Florence, Siena, Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano and the Chianti region. Theme evenings are also being considered.
Following the resignation of two directors, Anne Loubat and Hannelore Morales joined the Board of Directors.
The meeting concluded in a convivial atmosphere over a festive meal.
