France/Anglet's 29th Franco-German Christmas Market: a twinning tradition
The town of Anglet invites you to get into the holiday spirit with the 29ᵉ edition of its Franco-German Christmas Market, a festive and convivial event designed for young and old alike from December 5 to 14.
This market is not just about Christmas stalls, it's also about a festive atmosphere, combining crafts, gastronomy, family entertainment and Basque culture, as well as exchanges with our German twin town, Ansbach in Bavaria.
Highlights include
- Concerts, carols, Basque choirs - tradition and conviviality take center stage.
- Gourmet specialities & tastings: mulled wine, Christmas cookies, artisanal delights... a taste of Franco-German and Basque traditions.
- Activities for all: chalets, craft stalls, gift ideas, giant games, creative workshops and face painting for children, photobooth, festive entertainment.
- Santa Claus will be on hand - a great opportunity for families to get into the holiday spirit.
The market is part of the town's twinning with Ansbach (Bavaria). This Franco-German link is reflected in the program, the specialities on offer, the entertainment and the atmosphere, offering a festive and cultural cross-section for visitors.
