France - Switzerland/Montauban. Historic twinning between Tarn-et-Garonne and Switzerland
It's now official: the Jeune Chambre Économique de Tarn-et-Garonne and the JCI La Côte Vaudoise (Switzerland) are twinned.
The signing ceremony, held in front of 5,000 delegates at the JCI World Congress in Tunisia, was attended by World President Keisuke Shimoyamada (Japan) and the local presidents of the two JCEs.
This twinning is the culmination of over a year's work, meetings and collaboration. It marks the beginning of an ambitious cooperation that will accompany JCE projects from 2026 and beyond, strengthening the ties between Tarn-et-Garonne and Switzerland. A strong symbol of this alliance: Chasselas. In Tarn-et-Garonne, it shines through the Chasselas de Moissac PDO; in Switzerland, it becomes a white wine emblematic of the Vaudois terroir. This shared richness will be showcased at this year's Occitanie regional congress in Lafrançaise, from December 5 to 7. This eagerly-awaited event returns to our region after almost ten years.
Beyond the symbolism, this twinning paves the way for concrete actions: joint projects, regular exchanges, cross-visits, shared training courses... So many initiatives that will offer new economic, cultural and social perspectives for Tarn-et-Garonne, Montauban and all JCE82 partners.
The World Congress provided an ideal setting to formalize this new dynamic, in front of committed young citizens from all over the world. This signature embodies our shared desire to act together and carry out projects with a truly international scope.
