Created in 1979, the Franco-Belgian twinning committee brings together the communes of Saint-Pierre-Canivet, near Falaise, and Clavier, in the Walloon region of the province of Liège.

The Franco-Belgian twinning committee uniting the communes of Clavier and Saint-Pierre-Canivet (Calvados), near Falaise, has been in existence for 46 years. It has around thirty members, or fifteen families.

Stéphane Boury has been President since 2024. In the spring, he organized a reception for Belgian friends.

A trip to Belgium next spring

On Sunday, the association organized a festive meal for twinning members and numerous supporters, including the mayor, Jean-Pierre Goupil.

Around the tables, discussions were going well in preparation for the trip to Belgium in spring 2026.

The president is looking into the possibility of organizing another festive event next March, which, like the meal, would help finance the trip to Clavier.
