The Saint-Germain-de-la-Rivière twinning committee held its annual general meeting, providing an opportunity to review the highlights of the year and present future projects.

On Wednesday October 8, President Joël Caurraze (his last term of office) opened the meeting by congratulating all participants on the success of the 25th anniversary of the twinning with the town of Pasiano (Italy), with the renewal of the charter in the presence of Marta Amadio, representative of the mayor.

The event also included a visit to the region by young Italians staying in Fronsadais from July 10 to 17. The President was also delighted to welcome a number of young members to the Board of Directors, including Valentine Rumeau-Alvaro and Adèle Picolo, "who are sure to take over from us".

The Board of Directors was re-elected in its entirety, and plans for 2025-2026 were outlined. On November 22, 2025, the European evening will be held with the Italian towns of Pasiano and Cavriago, Piékary (Poland), Wichnivest (Ukraine), Jining (China) and O'Porino (Spain). The return of the French youth exchange to Italy in July and an exchange with Piékary are also planned.
