Congo/ Entrepreneurship: twenty-six project leaders receive training at the Telema Foundation
The fourth incubation cohort of the Telema Foundation for Youth Entrepreneurship, dedicated to twenty-six entrepreneurs, was launched on July 18 in Brazzaville by Jesse Franck Goma, Secretary General of the said organization.
Until August 8, the courses will focus on managing participants' entrepreneurial projects, management, the incubatee charter, commitment, progress reports and personal development.
Addressing participants at the opening ceremony, Fondation Telema's General Secretary said: "You are now part of an entrepreneurial community. Here, you'll find a space where you can exchange ideas, experiment and develop. We believe in your potential, and we're delighted to be able to help you turn your ideas into reality.
He took the opportunity to encourage them to network, reminding them of the admission criteria for their projects, as well as the missions, values and commitments of Fondation Telema in favor of youth employment in the Congo. "We have to realize that your project can employ two, three or four people. In the run-up to the start of the fourth incubation phase, only twenty-six out of over a thousand applications were accredited," insisted Jesse Franck Goma, General Secretary of Fondation Telema.
Fondation Telema's incubation program focuses on interactive, active, creative and practical methods for retraining project leaders. The aim is to equip participants with skills in business creation, management and development. The incubation program is tailored to the different profiles of young entrepreneurs in the Congo. To date, the Telema Foundation for Youth Entrepreneurship has granted more than one hundred million CFA francs to thirty-three eligible entrepreneurs and a total of eighty-five beneficiaries. In Congo, as in other countries, entrepreneurship is an engine for economic growth and job creation.
