France/Twinning Agen - Corpus Christi: three young Texans join us for a two-week cultural exchange

As part of the twinning program between Agen and Corpus Christi, three Texan high school students are staying in Agen, hosted by local families and the twinning committee.

Last Tuesday, as part of the twinning between Agen and Corpus Christi, Clémence Brandolin-Robert, first deputy mayor of Agen, welcomed three young Texans from Corpus Christi to the Salle des Illustres, in the presence of Jean-Marie N'Kollo, in charge of twinning, and representatives of the Agen - Corpus Christi twinning committee.Jean-Marie N'Kollo, in charge of twinning, and representatives of the Agen - Corpus Christi twinning committee, including several board members (Apolline Boulesques, Maurice Cottenceau and Philippe Galan) and loyal members.

Two Agenais in Corpus Christi

After flying from Corpus Christi to Toulouse via Dallas and Madrid on Sunday July 6, Gloria Harris, Dallas Lizcano and Eva Baker "are staying in our town for a fortnight. They took part in joint activities organized by the committee (go-karting and a day at Walygator) and will be discovering the beauties ofAgen, Lot-et-Garonne and the South-West thanks to their host families and pen-pals from Agen", explains Philippe Galan, president of the Agen / Corpus Christi twinning committee.
On July 19, only two high school students from Agen, Luc Brandolin and Julie Forner, will be flying to Corpus Christi to discover the "City of Wind", and no doubt other Texan cities. They will be staying with families in Dallas and Gloria. Amandine Mallié, for her part, already stayed with Eva last year.

A solid friendship

This transatlantic exchange has been going on for twenty-six years now. The ties between the two committees are strong, and new partnership projects are being drawn up for 2026.
"Despite the diplomatic ties that are currently tending to weaken between the United States and France, we must remain confident in the Agen - Corpus Christi twinning. Governments may change, but the friendships between our twin cities remain very strong".
