Gabon

Since June 25, 2025, the commune of Mbigou has been the scene of an exceptional health mobilization, led by the Kundu Mulebe Association in partnership with the Ministry of Health. A humanitarian surgical caravan on a scale never seen before in Gabon, based on three clear pillars: health, dignity and humanity.

In this landlocked region, often deprived of regular access to specialized care, the Kundu Mulebe Association is deploying a large-scale operation using its own resources. This is not just a one-off operation, but a total commitment, with complete care and guaranteed post-operative follow-up. A first in the history of Gabonese medical caravans.

At the halfway point, the figures are striking:

Gynecology - June 30

* 33 women consulted for ultrasound

* 1 umbilical hernia detected

* 2 cases of myoma

* Several pregnancies now monitored

Circumcision - June 30

* 37 children operated on:

▪️ 17 children aged 3 to 6

▪️ 11 children aged 7 to 10

▪️ 9 children aged 11 to 16

July 1, 2025

* 20 other children taken in for circumcision

And most importantly: over 200 people already consulted are awaiting their test results for scheduled surgery.

What the Kundu Mulebe Association does in Mbigou is more than a medical gesture. It's a social act, proof that health can be a right, not a privilege.

The association did not wait for external funding to take action. It has mobilized its resources, trained a high-level medical team, and put in place logistics worthy of major humanitarian missions.
